In 2022, a new K-8 school was also built for all of the elementary and middle school students.

Shelby is also just five minutes away from North Central State College and The Ohio State University at Mansfield, and within easy driving distance of Mount Vernon Nazarene, Ashland University, and Ashland Theological Seminary.
