We are looking for a Process Technician

The ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) Process Technician reports to the Plant 1 Cold Draw and Finish Superintendent to provide critical support to the operating department, ensuring efficient daily operations while facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. This role bridges the gap between strategic innovation and day-to-day operational needs.

Main tasks

• Daily Operational Support:
• Execute daily data collection and analysis to monitor key performance indicators.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist in maintaining and updating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain and update production quality control plans and FMEAs.
• Conduct regular quality checks and report findings.
• Support root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Conduct safety audits and compile data for presentations.
• Assist in near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
• Identify and document process inefficiencies or obsolete technologies.
• Collaborate on strategic improvement projects.
• Implement approved process improvements.
• Serve as a liaison between the operating department and other teams.
• Participate in cross-functional projects.
• Share best practices across departments.

Must-haves for a Process Technician

• Associate's degree in a technical field or 3-5 years of tube manufacturing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Other important details

Candidate must possess the physical ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and move throughout the plant as needed, sit for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, occasionally lift up-to 30 pounds, and possess the ability to hear, speak and write clearly, in person, by email, and over the phone.
