Senior Accounting Analyst - Finance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary function of this position is to perform professional accounting work involving cost valuation, compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.  Additional responsibilities will include general ledger and preparation of journal entries, financial reporting, forecasting, and coordination of the annual business plan and strategic plan. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of monthly financial closing journal entries and reporting financial data required by plant and corporate management.
• Responsible for cost valuation of product inventories.
• Develop the 5-year Strategic Plan, Annual Budget, and Monthly Forecasts
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Individual cost analysis for the Marketing & Sales Department.
• Assist the Controller in financial statement analysis.

EDUCATION/SKILLREQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an analytical role.
• Excellent proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills. Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess the physical ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and move throughout the office/plant as needed, sit for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and possess the ability to communicate clearly in person or over the phone.
